Throughout this year, my art and knowledge have grown an immense amount. This class has truly taught me so many new things, and I am so excited for Art 4. I have learned so many new techniques, terms, and art history and they have all contributed to my artistic growth. I think however, my greatest growth has been my love for art. For our Awareness post, I decided to look more into Helen Frankenthaler. Her works intrigued me throughout our studies in class this year, but while I was on my search, I found a painting that reminded me of my ABEX work! It is titled Sphinx, and it was created in 1976. I find it absolutely beautiful, even with the simplicity of it. The colors really grab your attention and while it may look simple at first glance, it is actually quite detailed. This has been my favorite project by FAR out of this entire year. It felt the most free and moving of them all. The picture attached was when I was abotu half-way through our project. While I do see how it had some unresolved areas and I love my final project, I do wish that I could have a version of both paintings.

The title of the career that I analyzed was "Art Fraud Investigator". This career entails unique investigations on stolen and fradulent art crimes and ensuring justice is provided. In order to become an Art Fraud Investigator, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any art field or Criminal Justice as well as many different training and certification oppurtunites, which are dependent on the field of art. The painting is FINALLY finished! I spent so much time with this piece and I am glad to say that I am very comfortable with the final result.

Following my composition, we began working on the shadows of our paintings! I'm really enjoying this part so far.

In class we started working on our oil paintings. This is my composition/planning set up for my oil painting. It's coming along well.

These are my final Artist Copy and Self Portraits, I was unable to take professional photos due to class absense but this is the best I've got!

Currently in class we are working on our sculpture self-portraits, and it's turning out to be very difficult... I seem to be having a lot of trouble with my eyes and hair, but hopefully Coach Hall will be able to help with that!

Today we turned in our final artist copy drawings, and here is mine! My artist was Andrea Del Sarto who was a very detailed artist, making his mark VERY difficult to recreate. I found that his mark was best represented on my paper in the pelvic area. Before the copy drawing... After the copy drawing!
